Water 4 cup (960ml)
katsuobushi dried bonito flakes 2 cup packed (2/3 oz or 20g)
- Bring water to boil;
- Just before water boil add katsuobushi and bring to boil again;
- Once boiling reduce heat and simmer for 30 seconds and turn off the heat;
- Steep for 10 mins;
- Strain the dashi through a fine-mesh sieve over a bowl or measuring cup;
- Katsuo dashi is ready to use!
